“I am reminded that every day I have the chance to pick up a needle and some thread and add to the story. To stitch together something beautiful and unique, to patch a small scrap of fabric to the story that will be retold again and again for all of eternity.”

Why Clothing repair matters
A missing button, loose hem, or opened seam can make a perfectly useful garment seem ready for the discard pile. Learning a few basic sewing skills changes that. Instead of automatically replacing clothing, you can first ask: Can this be repaired?
Repairing clothing can save money, reduce waste, preserve favorite garments, and help you understand how clothing is constructed. It also builds confidence. Each small repair teaches you something you can use on the next project.
